I'm still in contact with Phil and Mike and discussing this sale. It was a hostile takeover that was completed without my consent. After consulting my lawyers and fellow group members, it looks like we may be able to purchase a stake in the resort after all. Looking at a .000000005% stake in the company. I wish it was more, but some of my group walked away from the deal and my maxed out credit cards and condo was the best I could do with cash availability. I'll have more coming later after the close of the sale. Exciting things are coming!

This is basically everything this forum has asked for since Powder bought the place. A local, invested (community wise not only financial), ownership group.

I'm sure the complaints will start any moment now

Ski Visits in PA - 31

Ski Visits in VT -12

Ski Visits in NY - 1

Ski Visits in NJ - 1

Total Ski Visits 45

This seems like a GREAT outcome to me. I'm very excited. Assume I'll hear many reasons why I'm wrong here in this thread, but I assume I won't be buying them.

This is great news! Since the days of Nyberg Powdr has never made Killington a priority. I'm glad Mike and the local leadership team are staying but now with local owners able to make Killington great again!

Ha! Some of you thought i was wildly speculating about Win Smith and and investor group buying K. (Yeah, I pulled that option out of my ass!)

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have Win Smith as an advisor to the investment group and the operating team as to hit operate a locally owned and managed ski area.

Make Killington Great Again !

I’m curious too. Of course it was too late to make any changes for this season.
Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.

So, what was fake? I’m assuming you’re referring to stormchaser’s press release?!?!?

Congrats, Mike! This group seems like a great “fit”. I hope you’re excited about it! I’m glad you’re sticking around!
