They're so oppressed with only three multimillion dollar homes. The struggle is real.
How do you like this headline?
"Abortion-palooza’ at DNC could force pro-life Democrats to ditch party: ‘It's just absolutely disgusting’
Kind of weird setting up an abortion van outside the convention, no?
The entire convention is a Trump-bashing event. That and how they will fix various problems as though they haven't been in power for the past three and a half years. Amazing.
Can the Democrat Party be saved?

Good grief. You can't possibly vote for these two.

I wouldn't have to if Republicans offered a better choice. Unfortunately they are not.Skid Mark wrote: ↑Aug 30th, '24, 06:41 Good grief. You can't possibly vote for these two.

Admittedly it was a friendly environment, but Harris/Walz presented very well.

I wonder what Trumpers will complain about now that Kamala's done an interview? If Trump wants to win, he needs to do better. I'm starting to think people are just sick of his usual schtick, finally.
Also kinda waiting for Kamala to do something to f*ck up her momentum, but so far the execution of that campaign has been excellent. Trump team not so much. Still very much a competitive race, though.

It's pretty low because it's set by Trump. All we need is someone better than him to vote for.
Make no mistake. This election is a referendum on Trump. If he loses, it is because most Americans have lost (or never had) faith in his leadership. If even bare majority of U.S. citizens had faith in his leadership, he'd run away with this election.

You idiots should have run a reasonable candidate this time around like Haley or Christie.
You would have to be an absolute moron to vote Trump. Literally the most unintelligent candidate and former president this country has ever seen.
This contest is basically Bif (donnie) vs Marty (Harris) in Back to the Future.

Re: Can the Democrat Party be saved?
Oh, totally. If it weren't for the EC, Trump wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning. He's not going to win the popular vote in 2024 just like he didn't win it in 2016 or 2020. A majority of Americans don't want him, but EC math gives him a very good chance despite that.
Which brings me to an important point that we should all acknowledge. This idea the Founders had about setting up the Federal government with things like the EC to prevent the tyranny of the majority has been proven wrong. Time and again in U.S. history, progress has been held back by a minority of the population due to the mechanics of our weirdly unique system. See e.g. slavery, civil rights, homosexual rights, etc.
It's my belief that democracies, like markets, obey the law of large numbers. If you take a poll of any given small, provincial population, you can get widely varied results. But fringe beliefs and ideas get averaged out when consensus is taken over a large population that spans a broad array of geographic areas. By the same notion, you tend to get more fair results when taking a majority vote across a broad, varied population.
